JOURNALIST
OLEKSANDR IELTSOV
An experienced and highly ethical journalist from Ukraine, dedicated to delivering impactful news stories to the public. With a wealth of experience in various roles within the journalism field. Skilled in news presenting, script writing, video producing,
voice-acting, third-party content verification, and interviewing.
MY BACKGROUND
Before February 24, 2022, I hosted the National morning show in Ukraine. Due to Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, I switched to hosting a four-hour-long evening news program. I also actively participated in launching a 24-hour news channel based on 24 local affiliates of the Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine.
I was privileged to interview guests and reporters involved in specific stories, bringing diverse perspectives to the forefront. Furthermore, I provided live reporting from the scenes of current events, offering firsthand accounts of essential occurrences.
For three years, I worked as a Video Producer and Journalist for Reuters News Agency with headquarters in London, UK.
This role allowed me to explore the world of user-generated content (UGC), as I diligently searched for valuable material to cover breaking news stories. I utilized advanced tools and techniques to verify third-party content, guaranteeing its accuracy and reliability.
I also worked as a Broadcast Journalist for TV Channels STB and Ukraine, where I covered both national and international current events.
During that period, I created a series of short documentaries about Ukrainian writers, singers, and activists who were killed or persecuted by the Soviet regime during the 1930s. Afterward, the scripts I wrote were used to produce a full-length documentary.
